about me:
I grew up in Maine, studied poetry and education at Colorado College, and worked in marketing for an outdoor industry non-profit until last year. After a year(-ish) living on the road sometimes and on Mount Desert Island sometimes, I’ve landed in northern New Hampshire as a third-to-fifth grade teacher at a Montessori-inspired farm school.
I love stitching and painting, climbing and skiing, print media, my dog Hatchy, and competitive games of Bananagrams. I use she/her/hers pronouns. I’m excited about exploring the intersection between education, art, writing, and the environment, and am passionate about community and mentorship in the outdoor space as well.
Other places you can find me on the internet include this piece about art during COVID-19 for 5280 Magazine, this piece I wrote for She Explores, and the Creative Lady Directory.
about my art:
I make things and up-cycle existing things to combine a love of stitching and drawing with a desire to work toward a more circular economy. My art is inspired by sandstone, quilting, my friends, glaciers, topo lines, outer space, poems, miles, and stories. What a total honor to make art with stories—as we fight for the climate and each other, little stories of old things brought back to life are little pieces of hope.
I’m not taking custom jacket commissions at the moment (eek, waitlist is too long, sorry), but I am working in small collections of flags, jackets, and more that I’ll announce here and on Instagram.
much love!
